What’s On This October Half-Term?

Sewing workshops for children and teens in London

Make Your Own Autumn Wardrobe!

Get ready for the colder weather by designing and sewing your own stylish autumn pieces!

Create a Twirly Tiered Skirt, a pretty Peasant Blouse, or a cosy Furry Fluffy Gilet, choosing from our beautiful selection of fabrics and trims to make your garment uniquely yours.

For older students, our Autumn Wardrobe workshops, inspired by Subdued and Urban Outfitters, are perfect for creating trendy pieces you’ll actually want to wear! From off-the-shoulder tops and loungewear to skirts and trousers, you’ll learn how to bring your fashion ideas to life.

We also have our Babydoll Dress / Top workshop, where students can experiment with different fabrics, sleeve styles, ruffles and ribbons to create a fashionable new piece for their wardrobe.

And don’t miss our Brilliant Bomber Jackets workshop! Choose from silky satins, cosy corduroys and beautiful prints to create your own stylish jacket, whilst learning garment construction techniques including zips and ribbing.

Get Creative with Fashion Accessories!

Love accessories? Why not make your own!

Design and sew a Pleated Mini Bag or Denim Mini Bag, choosing from a range of fabrics and embellishments to create the perfect accessory for your wardrobe.

You can also join our Crochet Your Own Bag Charm workshop, learning the basics of crochet whilst creating an adorable flower, heart or butterfly charm.

Rework and Customise Your Own Jeans!

Give your old denim a fabulous new look in our Y2K Jeans Embellishment workshop!

Bring along a pair of jeans and transform them using gems, studs, lace, appliqué patches and vinyl transfers. Beginners can learn the fundamentals of sewing and explore our specialist equipment, whilst more experienced students can challenge themselves with more advanced alterations, including transforming skinny jeans into flares!

It’s a wonderful introduction to sustainable fashion, showing how you can transform clothes you already own into something completely new.

Halloween Costumes and Spooky Sewing!

Get ready for Halloween with our exciting Cosplay and Costumes workshops, running in collaboration with Comics & Cakes!

Spend four days designing and creating your own costume, inspired by your favourite characters, superheroes, villains or something completely from your imagination.

For our younger students, we also have a special Halloween Trick-or-Treat Bag workshop on Friday 30th October.

Learn to sew your very own bag, then customise it with a spooky vinyl design using our specialist heat press. Perfect for collecting plenty of Halloween sweets!

Explore Fashion Illustration!

For budding fashion designers who love drawing, our Fashion Illustration workshops are a wonderful opportunity to explore the creative side of fashion.

Learn how to sketch fashion figures, develop your own outfit ideas and experiment with colour, texture and different illustration techniques to bring your designs to life!

New to Sewing? No Experience Needed!

All our sewing workshops are suitable for complete beginners, as well as students with more experience!

Our tutors will guide beginners through the fundamentals of sewing, starting with how to use and thread a sewing machine, before learning essential techniques as they construct their projects.

For students who have sewn before, there are plenty of opportunities to develop more advanced skills, experiment with different techniques and personalise their creations.

Our aim is for every student to leave feeling proud of what they’ve achieved, with new skills, greater confidence and a fabulous finished project to take home!

Can’t Make the Dates? Book a Private Sewing Lesson Instead!

Love the sound of one of our workshops, but can’t make the scheduled dates? Or perhaps you’d prefer some more individual support?

Many of our workshop projects can also be arranged as private sewing and fashion design tuition!

Whether you’d like to rework your favourite jeans, sew your own clothes, create a costume or learn the basics of machine sewing, we can tailor private lessons to your interests, experience and goals.

Private tuition is perfect for students who prefer one-to-one guidance, have a particular project in mind, or need more flexibility with dates and times. It’s also a great option for families visiting London who may not be able to attend our scheduled workshops.

Both complete beginners and more experienced students are welcome!
