Fashion School Newsletter for Chelsea Studio

Hi there Fashionschoolers!

We’re ready for the new term and looking forward to welcoming you back. Thank you for supporting what we do. We’ve made lots of logistical improvements and this term the emphasis is on sewing (with lots of creativity too) and teaching new techniques. Parents, expect to be impressed with the standard of fashion skills worked into each sustainable garment your child brings home.

The adults and teenagers at our Chelsea location will now be taught at our new big studio (thank you Cadogan Estate) at 6 Burnsall St, literally round the corner from our original studio and is the pretty street the other side of Waitrose. Some of you might know the building from attending Heartcore Fitness above us. Lots of space for each individual plus pattern cutting tables and even a sofa to relax on. I will be doing an information talk on Friday 10th September at 7pm. If your child will attend any of the classes that come under the FashionLab umbrella, it’s really important you attend as I will be going through Alexander McQueen feedback.

Little Fashion Creatives and Stylish Tweens will be taught at our regular and much loved venue at 224a King’s Road. We’ve had a big sort out and I think you will all love the new layout.

We’ve introduced an adult beginners class on Wednesday at 11am -12.30pm and a teenage Streetwear FashionLab class on Saturdays at 4-5.30pm. We’ve expanded our selection of FashionLab and FashionLab Career classes over Saturday and Sundays too.

Our original King’s Road studio is currently free on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, perfect for parties, private tuition and events. It’s a delight to be able to do this after a long lockdown and limited space.

Lastly, here’s a list of where all our donated dead stock fabrics come from which lengthens it’s life by being part of your children’s garments. We always encourage students to look at the designer’s recent collections to see if they can spot the fabrics, something you might want to do with them!
