I’m not sure what class to choose for my child?
All our classes are beginner friendly except for FashionLab Careers. You do not need to worry that your child has never sewn before as well will give them a sewing machine induction and all the relevant skills they need, no matter when they join the course. We recommend you choose a class based on their age and general availability over the term.

Can they attend a trial class?
We provide trial classes for our weekly classes and they can take place at any time during the term, depending on availability. Trial classes cost the pro-rata amount for 1 class and are available in adult and children's weekly classes.
In our Chelsea studios, we currently have a free trial class promotion for the new term. The free trial is available in our under 18s weekly fashion classes. You can find out more information and book here.
What happens if I/my child can’t attend all of the weekly classes?
Kids and Teens weekly classes
We do ask you to try and commit to coming to all 12 classes but we understand occasionally that is not possible. We can offer only 2 catch-up classes a term for anyone who has signed up for the full 12 classes. The catch-up classes must happen during the term and can not be carried over to the next term, or be given as a credit, so please book them in advance.
Adults weekly classes
Adults can have 1 catch-up per 4 week block that they book.

I/My child has never sewn before, is that ok?
That's no problem, as all our classes are beginner friendly except for FashionLab Careers. You/They will be taught to sew in the classes.

Can I/my child change to a different class if our availability changes?
We can make class transfer, but it does depend on availability in the desired class.
How many students are in a class?
We need a minimum of 5 students for a class to run, the maximum in a class would be 14.
What is your student to tutor ratio?
We have 1 tutor to 6 students for our under 11s classes and then 1 to 7 for our ages 12+ classes.
Will I/my child finish my/their garment by the end of term?
Kids and Teens weekly classes
We always aim for students to finish by the end of term and this would require full attendance from the student.
Adults weekly classes
Due to the ever-changing lifestyle of our adult students we no longer require you to commmit t a 12 class term but instead can sign up to smaller 4 class blocks. If you make a whole garment by the end of the term will depending on how you intend to use the classes and how many session you book. Please keep this inconsideration.
Do you offer any discounts?
We are able to offer a discount starting from 30% for any low income families. We would require proof of the benefits you are receiving. Email us for more details.
I can’t see a class that works for me or my children’s schedule, what are our options?
If you can't see a class which works for your schedule, let us know, if we have a high demand for a certain day or time we may be able to implement it in the future. In the meanwhile, the only options would be to try to attend a holiday workshop or to have private tuition.
